Ronnie 3

I guess this should be Ronnie 1 considering it’s baby photos.

I’m working on a few pretty big projects so its a few restorations at a time. As I get into this batch of old photos I am running across all kinds of things. Most of what I see is fading of course, but then you get into the little things that now we take for granted, such as highlight, midtone, and shadow.  Most old photos were taken outside in sun so there is lots of contrast and not much else.  I dodge, burn, and blend where I can. Same with sharpening. I can up the contrast in some photos to make things appear sharper, but that only gets you so far. I do what I can.

Ah, I love a challenging fight…
