I have been organizing the past few days and came across these photos that I took on December 5th, 2012. Can you beleive that these were taken December 5th? It got me thinking about the weather. This year it’s already colder than normal. We’re moving right into winter from summer. Seems like we are skipping fall (My favorite season).
Then because the shortness of the season popped into my mind, the shortness of many things soon followed. Looking at the kids having the best time jumping in the leaves made me realize that I have not done simple things in quite a while.
When was the last time you stopped and skipped a stone across the water? When was the last time you jumped in a pile of leaves? When was the last time you jumped in and didn’t worry about the spiders in the pile? 😉 (I will burn a house down to kill a spider nowadays!)
Where did those carefree reckless days go? When exactly did we grow up? I find it interesting that photographs can bring all of those thoughts to mind.
My mission in the next few weeks? Find a pile of leaves! Adults can have fun too….

Will do as soon as ours start to fall. I love the crunching sound of the leaves beneath my feet. Blessings, Natalie
Leaves are still not turning very much here. Looks like I’m waiting till next weekend.
