Japanese Garden, Botanical Gardens, St. Louis, MO.
The Botanical Gardens have so much to offer. I love the waterlilies, which I had posted in A Love Affair with Monet. Crazy Man (Patrick) loves the Japanese Garden. I can see why. The lily ponds made me feel cool and calm. The Japanese Garden is so serene it invades your being. It’s quiet and so still. People moving through the Garden seemed to soak it in and speak in hushed tones. Even the ducks were quiet! Patrick stopped on the bridge to feed the koi and the ducks came out as well. It was a feeding frenzy, yet the noise was muted. It seems even the boisterous duck finds peace in the garden as well.

What a beautiful place. I could almost feel the peace and quietude in your photos. We have a Japanese Garden here in Fort Worth too, and it is a lovely place too. Blessings, Natalie
Thank you Natalie. A little peace is a wonderful thing!
It is indeed! That’s why I love my garden early in the morning and after dark in the evenings. The peace and quiet is almost palpable! Blessings, Natalie
Such wonderful images, beautifully captured!
Thanks Ken! I really liked your photo of the white heron in Fly Away. A duck is as close as I can come to it. The blue heron I was trying to photograph almost flew into my car….lol
Thank you, Connie. I have such hit-or-miss luck with birds–either they’re thoroughly unconcerned with my presence, or they fly away at the first sight of me. You did really well with the ducks, though–those photos, as with all the others at the Japanese Gardens, are masterful. Great work!
