The draped material is probably velvet, but in the photo it just looks too much like shag to me. The owner agreed. So we made a completely new background to match the other child’s photo.
This restoration needed a number of things. The image is faded, ripped and stained. Someone had drawn, in ink, a small ring on the child’s hand. (The ring is on the other hand.) The arm hanging out the side was a little funny. I don’t think I could handle being completely covered by a blanket. The photo restored as is, looks good. But, I like the wicker chair better.
