Can you imagine what it was like in Belgium? in 1945? For this US Soldier it was reality. The photo that came to me must have traveled long and far. Wallet sized and paper thin, it was ripped and worn on all sides. The handwriting on the back was simple – a message for a brother stationed miles away. Reading messages on the back of old photos makes you a part of someones life for a brief instant. It made me think. How free are we? If we were truly free, there would be no price.
